You're right about one team being no better than the other when it comes to hypocrisy. When it comes to the issues I am very leery of the republicans on the national level. On the local level I tend to support more republicans.

The chemical companies give more to the republicans because
they will allow them to pollute more and won't prosecute them as harshly for the laws they get caught breaking. They will even make the laws less strict for them. Bush wants to allow the smokestack industries to self regulate themselves, that is about the worst thing I could ever imagine happening, unless maybe you would like to see some of those 3 eyed fish like on the Simpsons.

I would assume the womens groups overwhelmingly support democrats for the same reason in the end. They have a better chance of having their views prevail with them.
