that's very interesting. Are the online buyers local people, or 700 miles away?

They were almost entirely local people. That was also my plan. We have people now from quite a distance but they arrived via word of email from local customers. People that come via search engines do not stay on the site long. t is still about 80% local. Local is not growing as fast as the friends of local people.

It really is not that profitable when one takes into account the time to place content online, answer email questions, packaging and shipping time too takes a lot of labor. I see us not different than Amazon. We could only make decent money on-line if we charged more not less than our off line counterpart. Of course, Amazon has no off line.

Our true advantage over Amazon is we do not need to pay for DCs that are not also used as regular stores. Also, our advertising combines brick and mortar (you know I hate that phrase) and the on-line store too.
