I'm not quite sure if it still appears. Once you're signed up what does it matter if you see it anymore? You won't need to see the link if you have the service. That's probably why I haven't noticed if it is still there or not.

2. Even though the service is free, but do you ever see the monthly billing in your trading account?

No. I never see the billing. I guess if you fall behind in your trading and you don't qualify for a quarter you will see a charge.

3. Did you have to pay any installation fees at all or Etrade picked up the costs?

I paid no installation charges. The only thing I paid for was the NIC card - it ended up that Etrade reimbursed me for it. If you have an old computer that didn't come with a NIC card and you have to purchase it make sure they credit you.
