Brief openning dip to 2152. It did not last long though. Run on COMPX continuing. Rotation starting to occur to lagging sectors/stocks.

10:00AM ET Still negative on the major indices but investors appear to be buying the dip. The Nasdaq has trimmed its loss to single digits while the Dow and S&P 500 continue to struggle a bit. Investors are facing difficult decisions today as recent extreme moves to the upside have left the markets extended from a technical standpoint. Nonetheless, sentiment has shifted regarding the intermediate to long term outlook which means many traders will be buying the dips. In other words, many investors believe we're witnessing the end of the bear market and don't want to be left too far.

Market Outlook
The Pause That Refreshes
By:Kevin O'Grady
Microsoft beat the earnings expectations last night, but after a week of strong gains it appears the market is going to pause today. The market doesn't go up in a straight line and at some point investors are going to consolidate their gains. That doesn't necessarily mean we get a pullback today. The momentum is still in the bulls' favor and may need to slow first and the earnings news from last night was still good. However, investors are going to be more wary with the weekend approaching and will most likely start preparing for the possibility of a pullback next week.
