Jason, I too am interested in his answer of this question. He managed to make many great value picks over the years. . .and each pick made was an exceptional value, even a bargain at the time. . . .

But how does one select a good value, without considering earnings and market cap? You can't even get a PE ratio without considering earnings. Something doesn't add up. . . .perhaps he mispoke?

I could see perhaps not considering certain fundamentals, such as cash position and debt [though this is risky]. . .since many were trading based on stock symbols and growth rates and PE Ratios, yet ignoring fundamentals, as they had little to do with momentum in past markets. . . [though we've all been looking at fundies carefully in recent times]. . . .

But to exclude earnings and market caps from the mix? ?? ??? . . . . . well, that leaves me speechless. . . . and as you know. . that is a rarity.
