That was the best laugh I've had this week. Maybe I'll just keep it to this, should it happen:

"I am delighted to meet you Dr. Hood. Say, didn't I hear you on NPR last week?"

I could honorably add that I recently met his colleague Dr. Aebersold. Though I don't think I'll mention how it went.
