P.S. Question:

Suppose I want to back up a bunch of different items, miscellaneous stuff, from my desktop onto one floppy. What keeps each successive thing you download to the floppy from going on top of the last one instead of after it?

I have a distinct feeling that this question is totally insane and ludicrous. But all pride has been extinguished from my being. Evidently.

P.P.S. Question:

Didn't someone say that I could try a reinstall of Windows ME w/o the formatting part? Just on top of the old installation? And that that would conserve everything? Might not work, but would conserve and was worth a try? I can't find that, though i have the feeling it was suggested....
