Mr. GJ - Today's NY Times reports that Treasury Secretary O'Neill supports Treasury Department continuation of new issues of Treasury Securities despite surpluses. I ready where he says the proceeds could be used to fund tax cuts. Am I missing something here, or is it good policy to transfer wealth from bond investors to tax payors on the receiving line for tax relief ? Comments ?

Anyone know if O'Neill is a relative of Admiral Stockdale or something? No wonder the Long Bond interest rate is heading for 6% and mortgage rates are on the rise.
