<<Why CALP and QTRN are each up about 10% today I have no idea.>>

I suppose some of the move on QTRN is due to the fact that it was "up-graded" by ING.Barings from "buy" to :strong-buy".

CALP move may be related with their deal with Agilent, announced earlier this month as well as the fact they received ISO 9001 certification last week. The DNA 1000 LabChip kit is due to start shipping on May 1st:

"Agilent Technologies, Inc. and Caliper Technologies Corp. announced the introduction of the DNA 1000 LabChip kit for the automated analysis of DNA fragments to determine their size and concentration. The new member of the LabChip family, which is designed for the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer, allows molecular biologists to analyze PCR products and small restriction digests with the speed and precision that only LabChip technology, developed by Caliper Technologies, can offer. The DNA 1000 LabChip kit is available to order now. The kit price for the analysis of 300 samples is $355. Shipments are expected to begin May 1, 2001."

Also CALP gave a buy signal on the 30 minutes chart on April 18 when the green shorter term average crossed over the red longer term average <g>

Same thing took place on QTRN chart yesterday, besides the fact that it was able to go through the 18 and 19 "resistance" levels.<g>
