I'm glad you are a conservative. I was born a Republican, went Democrat during Jimmy Carter's time, but came back. I used to think of myself as a centrist. I found out that people don't appreciate broad thinking and just think you are wishy washy if you can see both sides of an issue. So I take a stand, with my words and with my vote and with my dollars.

I was skeptical of Ronald Reagan, but I've come to believe that he was one of the few Presidents who really knew how to run the job. George Bush senior had more qualifications than all of his competitors put together. George W. has some tough shoes to fill. Bill Clinton was simply disgusting and never did deserve the honor of the office.

Like you, I am concerned about the environment. But I have been totally disgusted by the so-called environmentalists because their behavior and tactics is dishonorable and dangerous. They lie about anything to achieve their aims. I know enough about the National Environmental Policy Act to know that its worthy intent has been completely bastardized by the environmentalists. The government plays right along.

I've seen NEPA projects that should have been done in a few months take years and years trying to make everyone happy when it is NOT THEIR INTENT TO BE HAPPY, but to stop intelligent production of natural resources. Plans supposed to provide the rules for ten years take FIFTEEN years to produce and cost untold millions of dollars. I could tell you some horror stories that would blow your mind and make you question your views on this.
