What you fail to see through your mechanistic rant once again is the 'endpoint'... your statements about such things are way too broad and sweeping. Thats the point, and here's an example:

<For the rest of the thread, what DAK and I are arguing about is whether aspirin and other NSAIDS can be toxic to healthy people because they cause internal hemorrhage. DAK's argument is that the people who died were sick anyway. My argument is that aspirin, all by itself, is a cause of death that would not have occurred if the person wasn't taking aspirin.>

I never argued that NSAIDS "can't be toxic to healthy people", but that hasn't stopped your rant's before in your quest [need] to be 'right'. I didn't argue that ALL people who die of NSAIDS "related" events were sick anyway... the conclusion by YOUR source is AGE correlation... you can take that anyway you want, to me it's obvious.

And yes, I've got a family full of doctors, they say if the number of deaths you sight could possibly be proven directly caused by NSAIDS alone they wouldn't be on the market... but then again they weren't.

Got a full weekend ahead... 7am out here... be back Monday, have a good one.
