Les, I don't think the data you cite supports the conclusion you are drawing. If you look at the table again, I think you will see that there was a decline in home ownership in all ages centered around 1992 and that since 1992 homeownership rates have been rising for all age categories. Remember there was a recession in roughly 1991.

Interestingly, the data you linked states that its source is the Census Bureau.:)
