<your mind is a logic-tight compartment.-ng->

Two peas in a pod I guess we are... LOL -ng-

<>>Conservative calculations for the United States estimate that approximately 107,000 patients are hospitalized annually for NSAID-related GI complications>

Exactly my original point Coby... "related" is an important word in statistics as you know.

<and at least 16,500 NSAID-related deaths occur each year among arthritis patients alone (more than from asthma, cervical cancer or melanoma). 2,8,9<<>>>>>

Exactly... not to beat a dead horse [not you Coby], and to the thread this is my last word [promise]... but all this is what I said originally [you pointed this out a couple posts ago] lots of SICK people are affected...

<They stay on the market because the good outweighs the bad. >

As you may know the FDA is very leary of this kind of reasoning... it's VERY difficult to get a drug approved using this logic when deaths are used as an endpoint.

That said, I certainly admit to having a 'non-western' slant to my beliefs on medicine and medications which I believe is partly responsible for our arguments on the subject. My beliefs aren't from the lack of knowlege on the subject however which you imply.
