Some of us on the "windswept plains" actually have indoor plumbing and regular newspaper delivery now. <ggg> At the end of May I get to rendevous with an old college friend at her ancestral homestead in the Mid West. We also attended college together in the same Mid Western city. She lives in CA now. Can't afford a house and occasionally doesn't have electricity. Her parents are counting on me to talk some sense into her along the order of, "Wasn't that fun? Time to come home now...Where we can keep lights on in the homes we actually own." Of course she waxes poetic about the beauty of CA...Yes, I agree. Nice place to visit. I asked her when was the last time she got to the beach 45 min. away due west or the Redwood forest another 45 min. away due north and she grumbled something about having to work. "To pay for what?" I asked, since she can't afford anything? So how are the investigations coming? contracostatimes.com What are the natives saying re: blame?
