Money-Market Fund Assets Fall $30.89 Billion

Money-market mutual-fund assets decreased $30.89 billion to $2.062 trillion from a revised $2.092 trillion in the week ended Wednesday, the Investment Company Institute said.

Assets of the 1,021 retail-class shares decreased by $7.83 billion to $1.117 trillion from a revised $1.125 trillion, the institute said. Among retail-class shares, assets of the 662 taxable shares decreased by $6.14 billion to $927.06 billion, while assets of the tax-exempt shares decreased by $1.69 billion to $190.36 billion.

Assets of the 868 institutional-class shares decreased by $23.06 billion to $944.2 billion from a revised $967.24 billion. Among institutional-class shares, assets of the 682 taxable shares decreased by $19.26 billion to $884.25 billion, while assets of the 186 tax-exempt shares fell by $3.8 billion to $59.92 billion.
