I think he said they would "match" at any MHz and undercut at any "performance level."

Just found this in JC's transcript which confirms that:

DREW PECK: ...What is your likely response to Intel more aggressive pricing?

A: We think they'll be more aggressive, we don't think there'll be a price war. Our practice will be to price competitively clock for clock with what Intel does. Competitive price and superior performance. Market conditions favour us. Frankly, we think the P4 is a dud, they have no choice but to cut the price, because it doesn't perform as well in many applications than lower clocked PIIIs. Truth is that a crummy car with a rebate is still a crummy car.

Q: You will still match their pricing even for the crummy car?

A: Yup. We think the compelling value proposition will help us gain unit share.
