Oprah has done a lot for woman who maybe haven't been blessed with a great deal in life. She has taught them about reading good books, doing for themselves, and showing them the steps they need to take to get ahead...
Certainly she is entertaining, but she has brought her audience along with her in her learning, growing experience, and I admire that in her.
Look at the others in the same time slot, they bring people out of trailer parks, give them a bath, and a new t-shirt with a bad saying, and then try to prove some poor little baby really belongs to daddy X. They prove it, and then what???? There is no commitment or sudden love for this child...it is a one shot deal at proving little LuLu belle did have sex with this guy, and 99 & 44/100 chance the baby with the big ears, and fog horn nose belongs to the bozo on stage. What does this do for the audience ? Does it teach them anything besides, if you have sex with Billy Bob, you might have an ugly kid that looks just like him?!
Oprah will work with the women and help them with their self esteem, and teach them a way to complete their education, and learn to take care of themselves and their babies, and maybe along the way, they will find out what is causing it....Good for all of us. |
