For the most part the Republican Congressman/women I've met are honest people. What really did it for me was when an endless parade of Democrats got up and said the Republicans wanted to starve children with their school lunch program, when in fact they spent more than Clinton's budget proposal. The problem was Reps. sent the money back to school boards with no strings attached. Hence lessening their power over what the local people can do with it.. That's what scares power hungry Democrats. It's my theory as to why Democrats oppose tax cuts. Dems. love to spend our money right? And it's a known fact that tax cuts increase revenues to the treasury. So why would they oppose that? Isn't that what they want? More money to spend? What they fear is people that keep more of their hard earned cash don't need Government as much.. People have more freedom when they keep more of their cash. Democrats fear losing their power over our lives. That's why they oppose a tax cut. The house bank scandal is another reason to distrust Dems. They lied through their teeth during that one.
