I never said it didn't. I did say certain types of vegetation is better at capturing carbon than others.

I'll have to tell the Guys at the DNR that decaying plants don't give off CO2. Every few years a weedy lake here has a large fish kill. Those dumb biologists aren't as smart as you, they say it's caused by the CO2 given off by the rotting plants.
