Hello Threadmates,

I want to thank everyone for participating during this, our inaugural week. Being the #1 Thread on the Hot List was heady but I'm not blind to the fact the delta number SI uses to assemble this list is pretty easily manipulated when Y1 = 0. <gg>

I hope we will continue to establish a convivial thread culture during our next few weeks. So far I think we are successfully building a place to engage in, as the thread header states, "polite, honest discussion of our plans, successes, and failures [to] sharpen our investing skills and teach us how to harness the volatility in our portfolios." Our focus will remain simple Covered Calls with few forays out of that realm (thanks duf, I needed that!).

I'd like to suggest that emoticons are welcome. They can be quite helpful in managing a critical discussion environment. We should be able to call each other "Dummy" in the friendliest sense -- OK? Things like, "it was just plain dumb" constrain everyone's willingness to bare the soul for the good of the project so let's not tread into that difficult territory.

I know you are all busy people and I've been surprised by the level of your participation. Thank you for gracing these pages with your ideas, questions, and tutorial material. I've learned a number of interesting things in just these few days.

Best regards,
Ken/FL
