Also interesting was that the Venetian's average room rate for the quarter was $220 (pretty amazing given the general turmoil in the economy). However, they got nailed at the tables and their hold dropped to 12.7% from 24% in the year ago quarter. I think they'll make it, but the Aladdin is doomed and will likely be acquired by PPE (who has been scooping up their bonds, presumably in anticipation of just such a move).
