I see what you are saying. I guess we may differ about prospective growth for the industry, as I do not think networking infrastructure has reached the dormancy of PCs or Photocopiers yet.

My argument was just that the superficial reasoning in much of the press, namely that Cisco's stock has dropped so it can't acquire as much anymore, is patently false.

Cisco's market cap has not dropped as much as its potential acquirees, in fact yielding a better than normal opportunity to acquire good products and markets at reasonable dilution and expenditure.
