To take your suggestion one step further,

What happens when the day finally arrives (we all know it
will, the question is when) that Ascend becomes a big company
and merely meets estimates, settling down into a stable future
of high (but not explosive) growth.

As we know, the stock price basically reflects an extremely high
growth rate. Is a crash in Ascend inevitable someday, or is it
possible to settle into their future more gently (once earnings
growth rate decelerates)?
