greenehugh, Soe interesting points made....! Charts maybe pointing towards a short term spike in gold prices, but I'm not looking for anything significant. It is my understanding that Gold Eagle is an organization set up to market gold to unwary buyers. They insight fear and broadcast end of world scenarios to those who worry about the future.... and then to buy their marked up gold products. "Gold represents one of the easiest and safest ways to diversify a traditional financial portfolio.... Our TAAP, tactical asset allocation balanced portfolio approach, will invest up to 60% of the portfolio in gold when conditions warrant." How many times is the word inflation mentioned...? I stopped reading their columns years ago....! The few good commentaries and points were always buried by the marketing slant. And BTW, as you know they've been wrong for years, and still are...! In the three great examples in the industrial age of monetary chaos (total societal collapse), two for Germany and one for Japan,.... the ONLY valuable commodities in their misery, were those that made life bearable. Soap, candles, a bottle of beer, a vegetable, a fruit,... etc. Gold and silver coins did not hold their value. When America flips into great monetary chaos, I will send all my family out to buy every can of tuna fish and sardines for ten miles around. <smile> Chip
