eXpressDSP-compliant Spatializer Vi.B.E. Bass Enhancement to Focus on Portable

And Home Entertainment Applications

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- To
significantly expand its market presence and to extend the power of the digital
signal processor (DSP) in portable and home entertainment devices, Spatializer
Audio Laboratories Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPAZ) today announced that it
joined the Texas Instruments Third Party Network. Spatializer Vi.B.E.(TM)
software is now available for immediate off-the-shelf implementation on the
programmable TI TMS320C54x(TM) DSP family for portable and home entertainment
devices that benefit through enhanced stereophonic headphone or speaker
enhancement. (See www.spatializer.com)

Spatializer Vi.B.E. is a comprehensive and cost effective audio enhancement
solution designed to tap and enhance the power of the digital signal processor.
It provides a dramatic bass enhancement experience through even the most
inexpensive "frequency response challenged" speakers or headphones. It also uses
Spatializer's proprietary psycho-acoustic and harmonics techniques to generate
the impression of realistic bass frequencies that would ordinarily be difficult
to discern in small PC, laptop or portable headphone devices. The scalable
architecture allows maximum flexibility, requiring only a small fraction of
available MIPS and memory while still providing the highest possible audio
enhancements, resulting in a richer and warmer listening experience for the
consumer. Spatializer Vi.B.E. provides opportunities for the OEM to
significantly upgrade the audio quality of portable MP3 players, smart phones,
car audio, Internet appliances, portable CD players, televisions, home stereos,
headphones and boom boxes, among others.

Randy Roscoe, Spatializer's vice president, Sales and Marketing points out that
Spatializer Vi.B.E. delivers high quality audio through low cost digital audio
devices that until now was thought to be impossible.

"Imagine low cost headphones that sound like they have a minimum frequency
response of headphones costing two or three times more," says Roscoe. "Imagine
having this without significantly sacrificing your battery life. Imagine the
manufacturer being able to provide and promote a branded, value- added feature
respected worldwide to differentiate its product. Imagine a musical richness and
presence once reserved for audiophile quality and you will appreciate the
magnitude of audio enhancement we're offering to customers of the
power-efficient TMS320C54X family. We believe that TI has taken significant
steps in establishing a world-class digital audio product portfolio -- and we're
excited to be working with them."

Texas Instruments recently awarded eXpressDSP compliance status to Spatializer
Vi.B.E. The Compliance Testing Program identifies interoperable components that
comply to the TMS320(TM) DSP Algorithm Standard. When customers use products
that pass compliance testing, they are assured that the product will be
interoperable, thus helping to speed integration time for each stage of the code
development cycle.

eXpressDSP Real-Time Software Technology is a premier, open software environment
for Texas Instruments DSPs, consisting of powerful, integrated development
tools, a real-time kernel; standards for application interoperability; and the
world's largest DSP third-party network, along with code generation, simulation
and debugging technologies. It is designed to reduce development time well above
50 percent, depending on the application, and to give DSP end-users "make vs.
buy" choices for DSP algorithms, or simply to make it easier to mix and match
algorithms they have developed internally.

"Working with Texas Instruments as part of their DSP Third Party Program -- and
now having received certification that our Spatializer Vi.B.E. software is
eXpressDSP compliant -- demonstrates the type of long term relationship building
that we believe will drive our future, long-term growth," says Henry R. Mandell,
chairman and chief executive officer of Spatializer Audio Laboratories Inc. "Our
strategy at Spatializer is to provide easily implemented, turn-key audio
enhancement solutions to OEMs around the world that elevate the consumer's
satisfaction while providing bottom line building benefits to the OEM ... and we
intend to extend that with eXpressDSP and through the TI DSP Third Party
Program."

"We developed eXpressDSP to ease DSP development for new internet-enabled
applications, such as the portable and home entertainment solutions offered by
Spatializer," says John Schanzenbach, TI's eXpressDSP platform manager. "Using
the eXpressDSP-compliant Spatializer Vi.B.E. algorithm with our programmable
TMS320C5000 DSP platform will ensure delivery of natural sound to the consumer."

Mandell asserts, "If one accepts that we are in the midst of a digital audio
revolution, then Texas Instruments is one of its greatest revolutionaries.
Rarely have we had the opportunity to so closely share a vision as we do with
TI. Today, we have moved beyond the basics of audio quality and beyond simple
fidelity of sound reproduction. We are now capable of virtually capturing and
recording live sound in its natural state."

Mandell explains that the challenge is no longer how to capture sound but how to
reproduce it's fidelity as precisely and accurately as the captured original. He
says that TI is meeting this challenge with their TMS320C54X programmable DSPs.

"OEM design engineers now have two options in delivering natural sound to the
consumer," Mandell says. "There's the hard way ... or the easy way: They either
design around expensive discrete analog chips ... or they take advantage of the
power of the DSP by specifying psycho-acoustic software audio algorithms from
Spatializer. In today's competitive environment, TI DSPs combined with
Spatializer soft audio solutions provides the edge on price, flexibility, ease
of implementation and total quality listening experience."

The Texas Instruments DSP Third Party Program is the most extensive collection
of DSP development support in the industry. More than 400 independent companies
and consultants provide products, including development boards, operating
systems, software algorithms, function libraries and system consulting services
around the world. One exciting sign of TI's real-time advantage is the large and
growing network of third-party systems developers who've chosen to build their
businesses around TI DSPs. These third-party products offer a broad range of
application software, development hardware and software, and consulting
services, products and tools that help customers accelerate their development
efforts and cut time-to-market.
