Cheap energy is one of the reasons that our country consistently offers more economic opportunity.

The UK has the highest energy prices in the world, and turns out just as many microprocessors as the US. Some of the most successful startups in history are in the UK- ARM, Element 14, etc.

Your argument doesn't hold any water.
