That was exactly my first reaction: someone is indeed serious about clearing up the mess. I expect things to improve only by September this year. I think they still hold some bad news.

Most of those contractors (which is the bulk of their savings) will only affect the bottom line by then. It is also costly to get rid of the contractors too.

I don't expect it to implode like Lucent but one never knows.
