DJ Covad Commun Notice -2: To Keep Nasdaq Listing
23 Apr 05:59

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Covad Communications Group Inc. (COVDE)
received a Nasdaq delisting notice after the company didn't file its Form 10-K
for the period ended Dec. 31.

In a press release Monday, the broadband services provider said it will
request a Nasdaq hearing this week.

The company's stock will continue to trade on Nasdaq pending final decision.

Covad expects to file its 10-K and 2000 results the week of May 7. The
company cited "accounting complexities caused by the rapid growth" in its
business and "the financial difficulties experienced" by some partners in 2000
for the filing delay.

On Feb. 20, Covad said it was reviewing the internal procedures and controls
used to implement its services contracts and bill its customers.

Shares of Covad closed Friday at $12.19, down 25 cents.
