Looks like the price war is really on. I expect CNBC analyst to trash INTC and AMD tomorrow.

From SG Cowen
INTC (Neutral, $30) Officially Cutting P4 Price
Intel will introduce its brand spanking new top-o'-the-line 1.7GHz P4 at $352.
Price point is a major departure from historic pricing strategy and represents a
major escalation of the price war.
Particularly troubling is the intrinsic cost of building a P4 at 0.18u - we'd
expect poor margins again in H2:2001. 0.13u will not generate major volumes for
at least another nine months, and even then, the cost benefits will only accrue
over a lengthy learning curve.
IMPACT: AMD (Buy, $27) - When AMD held its Q1 CC last Wednesday, Jerry Sanders
was trying to signal to Intel that he didn't want a price war, but, evidently,
INTC was not listening.
IMPACT: PXLW (Strong Buy, $21) - If you want to buy a PC, wait 1 mo. and buy a
900MHz Pentium III for $500 - then use the savings to buy a flat panel display
with PXLW components. - Peck

Still holding AMD and waiting for cheep calls. Considering INTC Puts
