You have put your finger on it. The tax cuts did not harm revenues, so the culprit is spending. Although the Democrats are to blame for not reducing discretionary spending enough, that was to be anticipated, so the focus must be on the military build- up. If you believe, as I do, that that caused us to win the Cold War, it was well worth it, deficits and all.......
