I might agree with you if the conversions where based on force rather then persuasion

I'm not sure the distinction between force and persuasion is as clear as that. When there's a huge difference in power and sophistication, I'm not sure you can call it persuasion. The idea is the same as in our culture where a child cannot legally consent to sex.

On the other hand, lots of missionaries do a lot of social work for the community, not just religious teaching. As I've said before, I think it's not unreasonable to expect someone getting a meal at a soup kitchen to sit through a sermon in exchange.
