Oh, I see where the misunderstanding has occurred. You believe that Russell's use of the word inhuman in his excerpt was his concept of humanity? Perhaps if you re-read the excerpt for the gist and the point, it will become clear to you that Russell considers our world to be nothing but human--as well as godless--more human than slavish beggars and stumbling magicians could ever make it...

Of course, there is a sublety in you tone. Perhaps you are employing some satire.
