LOL! I have a buddy that uses the same argument in his '67 Corvette roadster. He has some great stories, my favorite is the time when he was stopped at a light in a part of L.A. that he does not usually visit or drive through.

Three young fellows, probably on their break from work or something, came up to the car and rudely demanded some monetary assistance.

Then they noticed Mr. Nickle Plated Colt. Then they decided to pursue their efforts elsewhere. My friend never spoke a word.
