Did you know that I can't type? Never learned.
Which is neither here nor there except that my mother was a high school typing teacher and a court stenographer back in the days when they took shorthand. She could type Really Fast, but she was also a Nervous Wreck because she was a perfectionist so she quit and taught instead. That was also too stressful so she became a legal secretary and then finally found her true calling in Office Manager. Take it from me, that woman was born to manage.
So I made her type all my papers which she loved because then she could correct everything and make ME perfect.

When my mother was ill and I was home visiting, she sent me to the store with a grocery list and when I got there, I realized that it was written half in English and half in Palmer's Shorthand.
