Mike, I did my share of trading mistakes. Also went into boring big caps march (ALL, MCY, BLS) but sold too early.
I did clean our my portfolio from losers in March and April and sold almost my entire portfolio after the rate cut.
Specifically, I am happy i sold SEPR since I could buy back for a 30% discount today. Its better to be lucky than smart!
I intend stick with my approach to swingtrade with highly liquid mid and big caps (MEDX, NBIX, PRCS, ABGX SEPR, CELG etc.) for a while (similar to Rick) because I do believe that the market will remain to be fairly weak. I also established a short position with semiconductor stocks which I think are still overvalued and highly sensitive to a weakening economy.
If you are up 10 x from your initial investment then you are a terrific investor!
