In the United States, where transformers are connected to as few as four houses apiece, the transmission speed would hold up better. But hooking up the special adaptors to each transformer would be expensive.


When we discussed this possibility before. It was said that they intended to transmit through the transformers. The above phrase indicates to me that they cannot transmit through any transformers. As a result, they will have to install adapters at each of at least 6 to 8 transformers to successfully use the power grid for an internet backbone. This looks very interesting, to say the least...
