I should have had my head examined! That was as scary a thing as I ever did voluntarily. I pedalled as fast as I could on the 3-speed Rawleigh and then opened the sail. I whooshed to almost 30 mph and held it for about <5 seconds. Rush hour traffic and bumpy city blvd with tar joint strips between the concrete slabs. Don't tell Guiness; the only thing I want from them is a bottle of Stout. I would only be eligible for dumbest dude of the year (1977). I can't imagine the intestinal fortitude it takes to race bikes for top speed or Tour de France for all kinds of conditions and endurance. Chas
