Hawk, 'scuse me for butting in, but I saw a discussion a few days ago on TV that said that the $90 billion trade deficit with China misstates the reality. According to the guest, most of the goods exported to the U.S. are mfgd by primarily U.S. owned companies whom are there for the gigantic pool of cheap labor. Supposedly a lot of the component parts are actually made in North America and shipped there for assembly. It sounds a little too much like a China apologist's propaganda to me, but I have no means of defending or attacking the premise.
