ZOIKS!

I think I would of needed a change in underware after that move.

One of my top five scariest and dumbest moves ever also involved height.

There is a old rock quarry in my home town. Cliff on one side of the quarry lake is around 70-90 feet tall. Some numbskull friend of mine decided it would be cool to jump off ot it. Up he goes... up and up and up. I follow.

We get to the launch pad area and look over the edge. As we looked down it appeared the bottom of the cliff stuck out 10 or so feet from the top. It was going to take one hell of a carl lewis leap to get to the water. So I make my one and only smart call. I offer him the first go. ;)

After several minutes of contemplation he throws himself off the edge. I watch him fall, and fall, and fall to the water. As he enters the lake I feel a sense of relief that he did not hit the cliff on the way down. Immediately followed by a sense or horror as a cloud of soot rises to the surface. He had scraped the underwater edge of the cliff after entry.

He came back to the surface so everything was now fine and dandy, for him. Now I am alone. Many moons later off the ledge I go. Screaming four letter words all the way down I somehow managed to survive. I can't quite say it was a thrill as fear never has given me much of a rush. But it was scary and dumb!
