WASHINGTON, April 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Labor Department on Tuesday revised its seasonally adjusted Employment Cost Index for the fourth quarter of 2000 to a 0.9 percent rise from a previously reported 0.8 percent gain.

The department also revised wages and salaries to a 0.8 percent rise in the fourth quarter from up 0.7 percent, and benefit costs to a 1.0 percent gain from a previously reported 0.8 percent rise.>>
