The 270 uses 3.5" cartridges has a 13.5 ms access time than the 200, 88, 44. The 200 uses 5.25" cartridges and is slower. The 200 meg drive was made primarily for the MAC desktop publishing industry. the 88/44 drives has been the staple removable drive for them for at least 5 years. The 270 and its predecessor was aimed at the PC market. This is especially apparent because they came and come in IDE versions. I believe that the 200 does not come in an IDE version. For all practical purposes, they product lines were not supposed to compete with each other.
