Maybe they thought that the sentences quoted below "answered" the question....if so, though, why would INSP, in a CURRENT statement, insert comments about GNET as if it were also a CURRENT company. Why is there no statement that says "formerly Go2Net, now Infospace".......
From the Proxy Statement on the INSP IR page noted yesterday, April 23, 2001: page 19, 20, 21 GNET, Digeo, INSP, etc... "Vulcan Ventures will own 55.2%, Charter will own 24.9% and Go2Net will own 19.9% of Digeo's capital stock. Vulcan Ventures is a minority stockholder of RCN Corp and HSAC, an a majority stockholder in Charter Comm. Vulcan Ventures, which held approminately 30% of Go2Net's voting capital stock prior to it's merger with us, holds approx 6.7% of our common stock. In addition, William D Savoy, one of our directors and a former director of Go2Net, is President of Vulcan Ventures and a director of Charter Communications.." Seems to me that a simple:
Yes INSP is a 19.9% equity partner in Digeo,
or No, INSP is not a 19.9% equity partner in Digeo, would at least answer this question.
Let's hope there is some resolution to this question soon.....BTW, did you ever get a written reply from INSP?
Address the question. IS INSP A 19.9% EQUITY PARTNER IN DIGEO TODAY, April 24, 2001? |
