D.J., I was looking at its relative weakness. So weak today that one would suspect there is some sort of big announcement going to happen. Profit warning? There must be at least a rumor of this out there and made the buyers a little cautious; better to wait and see why it took a big dive today; whether or not it was all Compaq related. I still find it hard to believe Dell can drop like this on Compaq news. People already know this story. Have seen it play out so often in the past. Could be shorting...technicals looking bad may have brought in a lot of short term traders...However, that should be only a short term factor anyways. Buying some company is also a possibility or maybe just the huge number of insider sellers before the close of the quarter. All guess of course. Hopefully, we get some real answers soon. Not getting any comment from Dell is OK as well...as that would be slightly bullish. BTW--To me a Compaq/Dell price war story is not that big a deal since it has happened before. Nothing new here. Still curious to see if there was another reason for the drop in Dell today.
