Neo,

At the time of the fire I was in the UK and my folks were on vacation in Italy. It was very disturbing because we had no way to get the family photo albums out of the house.

As it turned out, the neighborhood was spared and my parents were much better off being away for the next two weeks anyway.

The big loss was that I wasn't paying attention to my investments, and lost 50% of my portfolio in three days.
