The Younger the Analyst the DUMBER, and the Dumber CNBC looks, I at least enjoy Haines when he tears their ill informed ANALyst HINDsight downgrades and estimates apart, the rest. They should have more KUDLOW and well seasoned experienced and intelligent guests on, For example, when I read Osha's downgrade I disregarded it because like all ANALysts it was thinking that was 6 to 18 months LATE, and then when I saw how young he was, I realized that he is not even OLD enough to have read everything that would be required to give an intelligent decision, even BLODGETT and other youngster ANALysts follow this rule. SSB and LB are the worst probably. When you get right down to it, why don't they always DISCLOSE both investment and underwriting CONFLICTS as well as, and maybe more importantly SHORT SELLING POSITIONS that their brokerage and investment houses have before they allow these ANALysts to talk about stocks. Also, CNBC like the other news organizations are missing the big secret story about why many CEOs and CFOs are faking "lack of visibility", namely so that their own companies can continue buy back programs to fully fund CHEAPLY their stock option ESOPs and 401K plans, while the markets are down. CSCO really dismays me in this regard, faking lack of forward visibility, when you go back to Maria Bartiroma and other interviews I have seen lately of JACK WELCH, CEO of GE, he knew 18 months ago (same time I predicted it) based on customer order slow downs that this 2nd Greenspan induced recession and bear market was coming....so what did they all do with this information? Something smart I am sure....but the journalists are lazy today, they are not digging for the real rip offs and real stories happening in this very volatile period, and to that extent there is no free press, and they are doing a dis-service to us, their viewer.
I am,
Truly your$,
