JQP, I've seen the same thing happen and certainly you should never antagonize police officers. Some people just can't hold back. An officer's job is hard enough, but this lowering of the bar for arrest is getting scary IMO. Let's face it, a cop can arrest you for almost anything if they really want to, but now it's sanctioned by the SJC.

I wonder how many serious criminals will lack a holding facility because a dangerous soccer mom is taking the last available cell?

Oh well, at least the trains will run on time.
