I was in L.A. for the first time (I'm from Dallas)(during the CA bar exam). Stopped at an apartment complex on Sunset Boulevard and asked a guy sitting outside an apartment if he knew where there was a gas station or McDonalds nearby because I had to tinkle REALLY bad. He invited me in to use his restroom and I went into his apartment. I went into his bathroom and saw the scariest kinky S&M type magazines you ever saw on a stand next to the commode. I then realized I was in the apartment of a freak and no one on earth knew where I was or where to find me. Scared me absolutely to death. I was looking for a window to climb out of <G>. Fortunately, when I was done, he let me go, although not without making a suggestion or two. I still get cold sweats thinking about it - this guy could have been the guy from Silence of the Lambs or something.
