"having said that" is the overwhelming buzz phrase of choice. It has now infected almost every conversation with or by an analyst, ceo, financial news talk show host, etc. And it has now infected many messages here on SI: siliconinvestor.com What is most remarkable, is that it means nothing. (unless of course, one has a habit of contradicting the first thing that comes out of one's mouth). It must just sound good saying it or something. ???
