Charlie, BMW is using liquefied H2 in vehicles on a world tour.
BMW sees hydrogen as the future fuel but still supports internal combustion engines for propulsion running
on hydrogen. BMW has done experiments in Germany on renewable generation of hydrogen and launched its world tour in the Middle East where it is exploring with BP and governments, Dubai for one, using photovoltaic panels to generate hydrogen for subsequent shipping to Europe. Also, BMW is using a fuel cell, solid oxide from Global Thermoelectric via Delphi, as an auxiliary power unit in these vehicles, 750 model. Search the details on google by entering: BMW hydrogen...
