I have run across Hernando de Soto recently - did a double take when I saw the name. -g- This interview enforces my belief that without lawyers, true capitalism is impossible. (I'm a lawyer.)

Maybe you can give me some advice about software. The NBER site has some very interesting data but to use it you need TSP, Micro-TSP, Eviews, or RATS. The only statistical software I've used is SPSS, in college. I don't understand statistics well enough to get much use out of something that's requires a good understanding of statistics. But I do like to draw charts, using Excel, including multi-factorial charts. This data can't be imported into Excel very well. Suggestions?
